Game of Thrones: Jon Snow Season 6 Theory

So wondering whether or not Jon Snow is alive? Although it has near enough been confirmed by HBO there is still a chance that he may not be, but if he is still alive this is one way it could happen!

We'll start off with the fact that Lady Melisandre is at the Night's Watch after retreating from Stannis Baratheon not long before his death. Keeping this in mind, we'll go to the book, 'A Feast for Crows'. In this we are informed that Beric Dondarrion gave his life to bring back Catelyn Tully in the form of Lady Stoneheart. Thoros (priest of the Lord of Light) had already resurrected Beric from the dead in 'A Storm of Swords' after suffering a strike from Ser Gregor Clegane's lance. With this is mind it is possible for Melisandre to perform the same ritual on Jon Snow as Thoros had done before in season two on Beric Dondarrion.
Being a priestess to the lord of light it is more than possible this could happen, backed up by George R. R Martin even saying that "Nothing stays dead in this World."

But as stated by Beric, you never come back whole, and in the books Catelyn earns the name Stoneheart because of her ruthless nature which was completely different from how we came to know Catelyn before the red wedding. This could well mean Jon Snow would return with something missing, and with the show choosing to not include Lady Stoneheart, Jon Snow could well become the adaptation of the resurrected Lady Stark from the books.

So a ruthless Jon Snow running around, where would he go first? With speculation that Kit Harrington had been spotted in armour at the scene of a battle whilst filming in Ireland, we could only imagine that Jon has summoned an army to fight with. But where would he find an army? The night's watch barely has any men and I doubt he would be welcomed back. Jon would have to turn to the Wildlings and become the new 'King beyond the Wall' considering he knows better than anyone what is heading south. With this in mind Jon, with his new cold hearted nature, would not like to negotiate with the Night's Watch and would instead invade the Wall in an attempt to go south.

Taking the Wall from the Night's Watch would cause fear around Westeros and an uprising in the
North of Westeros. But whether Jon would continue to head south with his army is up for further speculation, whether he still has enough compassion to secure the Wall and prepare for the White Walkers. Or if he continues to head south that would no doubt provoke a reaction from the Bolton's, with Ramsay Bolton leading an army to meet with Jon Snow in a battle for the North. Which would explain why Kit has been seen at the scene of a battle.

We all know how episode 9 in each of the seasons have been the most climactic episodes, well a part of me hopes this will happen! Even if it doesn't happen quite like this I hope the result will still be the same!

I hope you enjoyed my theory on how Jon Snow will come back and rise to power I will be doing some more of these theories concerning other characters!

Thank you for reading! :)
